Project Nr 2: Jigs and wood: Jigs

First of all I need a guide for my circular saw to make clean long cuts. I love youtube! Using one bord of plywood and the factory edge... Quite simple, very efficient ;-)

Ended up with a 1.20m guide for long, clean cuts and a shorter one (45cm). The shorter one is ideal for making a circular saw miter box.

Project Nr2: Jigs and wood, more wood

More wood...

I went to some nearby hardware stores to look for pallet wood. Looks like I'll need more storage room as well...

I think I can start with some other little projects now before I go get some more wood. Looks like my dog had spoiled his water again. Maybe something for a next project. First the circular saw jig (or jigs?)

Project Nr 2: Jigs and wood

To make woodworking a little more easy, I needed a jig for me jigsaw and a guide for my cirular saw as well. In the mean time I went looking for some wood to work with.

Jigsaw Jig
After building this mount, I needed some more wood and a guide for my circular saw as well.

Project Nr 1: 3th and final phase

It took more than on evening before I had the time to put on a second layer of stain. Letting it dry another night and putting it in my living room to see the actual result.
Looks like it's not that bad after all. This first project tastes for many more to come!!

Project Nr 1: Phase 2

Couldn't wait to see a little side table take form...
Putting all pieces together and filling the holes in the table top.

Some more sanding, 100grit and 150grit.

It starts to look like a real (side) table! Needs some staining with "teak-stain" and drying overnight.

Very First Project: Project Nr 1

Project Nr1: Phase 1: Starting with two little pallets!

Taking apart, very carefully, both the pallets, followed by a first sanding with 80grit sandpaper.

Trying to pick the right pieces for the 4 legs.
